As fantastic as Smithfield is, its really a soccer bar and every other sport plays second or third fiddle to it. Smithfield on 25th between 6th & 7th is good for soccer and football and has a good beer and food selection. Fat Cat - No Dancing but SO MANY GAMES Pool / Ping pong / Shuffle board. Upscale Irish pub with great beers and a terrific tap beer system. These lesbian bars are friendly, neighborhood spots frequented by locals and visitors alike. Barcade - St Marks Place No dancing but Arcade games galore. The few that are still standing are open to all LGBTQ+, but still maintain their roots as welcoming places for (and owned by) lesbians. The best lesbian bars in NYC are in fact the only lesbian bars in NYC, as there are unfortunately not many remaining that identify as such. NYC’s best gay bars are scattered throughout the city, primarily concentrated in the West Village. NYC has always been a beacon for LGBTQ+ communities, with welcoming (and history-making) bars leading the way and club nights and roving parties bringing the fun.
